Description

Map of Ukraine with a focus on the environment in the wake of the Russo-Ukrainian War, situation on 25 March 2022. The map focuses on information on strikes against infrastructure, population centres and nature reserves that have a confirmed or highly probable negative impact on the environment. In addition to the military situation, the most important industrial facilities such as power plants (nuclear, hydroelectric, thermal), chemical plants, industrial complexes, refineries and pipelines are shown. In addition, there are water channels that are important for drinking water supply or agriculture (irrigation), nature conservation areas in a highly simplified form and refugee movements. A diagram with information on residue waste and toxic sludge in tailing storage facilities provides information on industrial legacies.
